Hydrotherapy Services
Initial Taster session
During your dog’s first session we will get to know you, meet your dog and discuss the reason for treatment. Initial assessments will be carried out to determine what treatment will be necessary.
It is important to understand owners’ expectations and set up a personalised treatment plan and goals for future sessions.
We will then introduce the dog to our shower, harness or life jacket as required and try them in the pool or underwater treadmill for a short introductory session. A shower will follow treatment and we will dry off your dog. Whether we use the pool or treadmill will depend on the reason for therapy, how the individual dogs react during the session and what treatment will benefit them most. We will always follow veterinary advice.
Following the initial assessments, we can discuss length of treatment (set number of sessions or long-term ongoing treatment as required).
- We will ask about your current routine and exercise levels and carry out some analysis of your dog’s movement.
- We will also take relevant physical measurements and your dog’s weight.
Rehabilitation/Fitness Sessions
Pool therapy 45 mins, £38. Treadmill therapy, 45 mins £40. Shorter sessions available for puppies or senior dogs that cannot manage a full session. Pool therapy 30 mins £28, Treadmill therapy £30.
This is for any dogs needing treatment pre or post-surgery, help with degenerative conditions or work on fitness and conditioning. Dogs can also join us for fun swims.

Puppy Confidence Swims/Senior Sessions
30 mins, £28 per session (incl. VAT)
These sessions are useful for young puppies and can help introduce them to water in a safe, controlled environment. It is also a useful form of exercise for puppies who are limited to set amounts of activity to limit pressure on young joints. We also use these shorter sessions for our senior dogs who are unable to manage longer sessions.
Discounts available for working dogs (e.g assistance dogs, police dogs etc).

Stance Analysis
Stance Analyser Session
Our stance analyser uses objective measurements to determine how a canine patient is weight bearing on each limb. It can help to detect early lameness and can show which limbs are affected.
The stance analyser can be useful in rehabilitation cases to show how dogs go from compensating by shifting their weight off affected limbs to weight bearing more evenly as they go through their course of therapy.
This service can be used for working and sporting dogs as well as show dogs to help ensure they are in a nice and even condition.
We may suggest this as part of your treatment with us alongside hydrotherapy but customers are also welcome to have this as a stand alone service.
